  • I've driven the Salisbury - Blanford many times and gone past the sign for the villa and I've even been to look for it and today I found it! It's not that well signposted and, the entrance being on a ...  more »
  • Dog friendly and very interesting - the Roman garden is particularly lovely. Well worth a visit, though bear in mind that it is ground works, so some imagination is required.

  • Very interesting site, great little museum, but sure itself leaves a bit to be desired, would not recommend making a trip out of it but do visit if in the area
  • Nice little place. Not spectacular but very informative and well presented.
  • The accommodation here was TERRIBLE. There isn't even a roof and I don't think the owners have checked any of the rooms or updated the decor for around 1,600 years. The floors in particular are very uncomfortable as they are made of large pebble-like stones in horrible earthy colours. Running water is only available in the reception area which is more like a sort of gift shop with toilets. To make matters worse I wasn't even given a key card to get some privacy in my room, so there was a constant flow of tourists and a party of schoolchildren ferreting through my belongings and invading my privacy the whole time. The minibar was particularly inadequate and I wouldn't stay here again, unless the weather was considerably drier.
