  • My girlfriend saw a deal on Groupon for tickets to walk around the garden and a pot of tea for two for £7. We had nothing to do and it was a nice sunny afternoon and we had never been there before so ...  more »
  • Few hours here as we had Groupon voucher with free cuppa. Lovely garden, lots of shrubs and trees. Very eclectic. Good to see shrubs etc not in a row.
  • the gardens are lovely, and the cafe is great. Worthwhile reserving a table during the summer months as it very popular with locals as well as visitors

  • Nice place to visit. The staff are friendly and the food is great. The inside can be cold but well worth it. Will be back
  • Nice afternoon walk around the gardens and a very nice place to eat out
  • Was once the very top of garden design but a recent visit was disappointing. The strong design is what holds this garden's appeal. Alas it needs a lot of labour to get rid of the weeds. The lawn closest to the cafe is the best of a bad lot, with the majority also full of weeds. The centre areas being left uncut - presumably to save paying labour. I arrived hoping to see a garden of the same standards as John Brookes' publications... It is not. Having said all of the above I would still suggest that it is worth a visit inspite of the paltry display of plants for sale. The design elements are outstanding and John Brookes remains my favourite designer.
  • Lovely well kept gardens and shop etc. Good cafe. Only thing we found was its very small and our visit was about a hour which for the entry fee is expensive.
