  • Great for a summer's afternoon drink or bite to eat by the sea. Folkestone was - a couple of decades ago - a rather forlorn place, devoid of life and fun. Recent developments mean it's fast becoming one of the most pleasant seaside spots in Kent. Bars, restaurants, entertainment, boutique shops springing up along the nearby Old High Street, and of course some great art thanks to the Folkestone Triennial. Definitely worth a weekend day trip.
  • This is my Harbour, a place I used to go when I was a Child, with my Parents and also on my own as I grew up. I have exquisite memories of the Folkestone Harbour, such completely Wonderful times. The Folkestone Harbour is a big part of the local people's lives and it is Very loved indeed.
  • I'm from medway and have enjoyed working on the harbour refurbishment. I didn't see the harbour before a lot of the work was done. But it looks amazing. The old swing bridge has been refurbished and the old train track made into a pedestrian walkway. With new lighting and planted boarders. I'm always hearing such positive comments about the work. Worth a day out. And lulu's fish n chips. From the local fishing boats. Doesn't get any fresher. John the bricklayer
  • Lovely place to visit, especially in the summer. Lots to see and nice walks all around. Very close to town and pubs and restaurants.. Not the easiest place to park but a nice day out all the same.
  • Beautiful coastal port, also steeped in war history. Local services excellent and the harbour going through a large refurbishment project making it more friendly to pedestrian access. A must visit area.
