  • Very good museum depicting life in Fleetwood through the years good coverage of the main industries fishing ship building and the salt mines also the impact of the railways and the war efforts and Queen Victoria’s visit. Many thanks to the very knowledgeable staff for their outstanding contribution always on hand to answer your questions other museums should use their expertise as a blueprint as it made for a very enjoyable experience well done and don’t forget to ask to see the last fishing boat built in Fleetwood
  • Interesting museum concerning the history of Fleetwood, the fishing and other lesser known industry of the town. Enthusiastic volunteers assist with your edification. On some days there's even live events. Our group really enjoyed it.
  • Really informative about local history. Dont miss guide to fishing boat at rear.
  • Excellent resource for the town housed in what was the town hall, interesting exhibits showing when life was simpler, poorer, better?, knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff and wholesome snacks in the cafe. It deserves to be better known and patronised!
  • We visited the museum in the Summer 2017, and what a cracking museum it is. Well worth the time spent there - and don't forget to see Harriet - she's bigger than we thought she would be !
