  • I must say that when planning a trip to Scotland would very much like to visit on some island. This island we visit seemed to be the easiest. H on the ferryboat that sails from Ansrutera and you're spot on. The fast boat did not take as they were with 5-year-old daughter. Also I must say that we were lucky with the weather-all day was warm and sunny. On the island you brought and you examine it for 3:00. There's unusual paint-a fantastic combination of yellow, red, green, and blue. In our area do not meet very many birds and hares. Famous puffins and seals we were able to show only from the sea, they arrange their Rookery on inaccessible cliffs. The island has a very long history, there was a monastery and asylum and smugglers. All this is saved with the Scottish care. On the island are equipped with picnic places, so I advise you to take a little food with them and have a meal overlooking cold North Sea. That's just garbage will have to take with them, still a preserve.

  • Friendly boat staff. Small cafe on board is cash only. Island was so peaceful. Nice place for bird watching. Lots of bunnies decorate the hillside. We had a family picnic and just enjoyed the remoteness of the island. Makes a nice family half day outing. Don't forget to stop in at Anstruther chip shop.
  • Superb nature reserve with an abundance of wildlife, the bottle nosed dolphins even showed up on or return from the island I would recommend this to anyone especially during late may - early July for the puffin & tern. hatching season.
  • Island is surrounded by wildlife. I have dived here twice, seals and rich marine life and wonderful seabirds above a craggy island.
  • Great info provided, good trails, all of the birds. One of Scotland's best place to go.
  • Beautiful landscapes, birdwatching, a fantastic opportunity to spend some hours in peace
