  • Before the visit, check the dates on which the machine is put under pressure, because you see it moving is really impressive. In the magnificent main building are two large triple expansion machinery, but only one is working, and two turbines at the bottom. Both the turbines are firm, a partially disassembled to see its internal parts. The volunteers of the Museum organise guided tours, but there are many signs (in English only) that explain very well what you are visiting. It is not easy to get there by public transport, if you arrive from the footpath that suggest on their site you find yourself in front of a locked gate and you have to call mobile numbers to get it open. The entrance to the main building is subject to charges.

  • Yes we have a ride on the steam train. Hurra!!!! Open air, smell of coal, a sound of whistle, wooden benches...we went back in time...☺ Fun place to be. They are hoping to extend the track soon...I wish them a very big good luck. I hope the local councils will understand the importance of projects like that...Keep up good work. Thank you. Ps It's run by volunteers.😇
  • The correct name is the Hampton & Kempton Waterworks Railway, using the ampersand not the 'and'.
