  • Update: Been there in June and just last week in November. Nice place, nice market. Will go back next time when we are around. Very nice and cozy shop with local products. We come from Holland, have an excellent bed & breakfast address in Doddington and will visit Macknade again next time when we are in England again.
  • I love Macknades, it's a local treasure. The fruit and vegetable selection is unrivalled, there is a wise range of local produce and also that from further afield. The oyster mushrooms are particularly good value. Within the main shop there is also a butcher, charcuterie and cheese counter. Externally there is a fishmonger and a wine specialist. There is also a vast selection of old fashioned treats, and now Easter approaches and the hand made chocolate eggs look very tempting. The cafe is well stocked with cakes and coffees, additionally serves a small selection of lunch foods. There are a number of high chairs but be prepared for them to all be in use as this is a popular spot that also hosts baby classes! There are disabled and baby change facilities.
  • Great Artisan food and bread. This place also has a fantastic café area, they take there time to make sure you have a great cup of coffee. Fresh Baked Bread, Fresh Veg, Delicatessen, Butchers, Olives, Local produce, Beers, Wines Ciders. and loads more. There is also within the grounds a Wine warehouse and fresh fish stall. The company also offer a loyalty programme. as with many other shop it has a point a £ system. I find myself there once or twice a month.
  • Fantastic farm shop selling a variety of local produces. Can be a touch expensive, but good for a treat. The cafe is excellent too.
  • Nice place to go for a posh deli. Treat yourself to some treats. Fresh veg, wonderful cheese counter and international selection unrivaled locally.
