Inside a building near the harbor designed by M.J. Long rests the National Maritime Museum Cornwall. The current museum is the product of collaboration between two maritime museums in the area. In 2003, these two museums combined resources to open the museum without direct government support. In the galleries, you'll find exhibits telling stories of fishing, boatbuilding, wrecks, and the immigrants who helped shape the city of Cornwall into the diverse harbor town it is today. The Bartlett Library inside the museum is a center for maritime research and holds many of the original port records in its archives. A perfectly nice museum with some interesting parts. It would be easy to suggest some bits got a bit samey - but then it's a maritime museum so that's to be expected. Clearly there was an attempt... more »

Just walking by the harbour and thought we'd have a look. Woman on the door making a big deal about people not booking but then letting everyone in anyway. Not surprised at £29 for 2 adults! The... more »

We spent an excellent 3 hours here (2 adults + 2 small children). Highlights were the pirate presentations and the Titanic exhibit. The museum isn't huge but it's varied and well suited for children. The large cafe has a sign encouraging packed lunch eaters which was a pleasant surprise. Entry price is fairly typical but includes a second visit. There are ramps up to each floor so good for buggies.

Great museum, really interesting day out for all the family. We all especially enjoyed the underwater tidal viewing room and the Titanic exhibition. We also opted to take the boat trip round Falmouth Harbour which was absolutely brilliant despite the heavens opening! Very informative and friendly guide.

Kids love it here, but there's plenty for all ages. Really glad of somewhere to get out of the rain! We've made good use of our annual passes.

It is a nice small museum. The prices are a bit high as they are yearly prices. For tourists like us a cheaper one time entry would have been great. The explanations for the kids on board technology was good.

Overall a great attraction/ museum, however when you go there multiple times when it still has the same theme it remains exactly the same and reasonably unchanged. All the themed exhibits are very high-quality and intriguing- fun for all.
