  • Well run and looked after by the National Trust, this is a beautiful valley garden with walks down to the village of Durgan on the river front. Lovely for an hour or so, but not nearly so special as T...  more »
  • Spent a very pleasant hour and a half wondering down the gardens to the Helford River then back up hill to the cafe and shop.  more »
  • A lovely afternoon walk down through the garden to Durgan. We did not have time to try the maze but should be wonderful for children. Beware this is a steep walk.  more »

  • Came here for the first time in July 2016 on a really hot day - wonderful gardens, sometimes difficult to access due to slopes and steps but easy enough. The maze in the centre is brilliant.. my daughter (she was 4 at the time) and I spent a good 40 minutes getting to the centre and back out and enjoyed every twist and turn - even if she did lead me around the same places a couple of times.... Great place to relax, good cafe and of course wonderful plants.
  • A great place to explore. My teenage children loved the Giant's Stride which is a sort of circular swing you hang from! The school house was tiny - more like a hut! It had some interesting information such as the teacher's co tract in 1831. The walk down to the beach was easier than the walk back, of course, but worth it. A small shop at the beach sells ice creams etc. There is a separate toilet near it. The highlight of Glendurgan Gardens was the maze which can be viewed from a raised footpath.
  • Lovely gardens. Really helpful and informative staff, giving us information on the best route down for someone using walking sticks and the facilities in Durgan village at the bottom of the gardens. Lots to see and enjoy. Lovely autumnal colour. A lovely walk and good value.
  • Smiles all round from the lovely team guiding you to a parking space. Greeted with a quiz for the children and directions to the main reception area. Once again it is another National Trust garden that delivers. It is a lovely place to meander through, relaxing in the wonderful garden. Not something to hurry. The maze is also a great spark of interest for pretty much everyone. Try the life hack my son suggests, keeping to the left at all times, unless you are forced to deviate. Anyway, it worked for me. At some point you will reach the beach which is very pleasant for a picnic lunch. There are plenty of rock pools to explore. The gardens are a circular walk returning to the beginning. At which point you could have a cup of tea and cake at the cafe. All in all a splendid finale to a horticultural feast for the senses.
  • Really food. The price feels steep at the door but when you get in and see how beautiful it is the price is all worth it. The maze is great fun. Throw your kids in and watch them wear themselves out. The giant's stride is so much fun and really good. The plants are beautiful and well maintained. Such good views! Just a great day out.
