  • What an unusual place ,amazing sculptures that are illuminated at night ,midges are a nuisance and when we left at 10.30 it still wasn't quite dark enough to get the full effect  more »

  • Lovely horses. Good shop, cafes and educational area. There was a little aroma of sewage in the air, as the wind was blowing from that way, but it didn't put us off. Parking a bit step at £3 but when the cafe etc area is closed after 5pm we understand it's free to park.
  • Good for a day out. Plenty of pathways for walking/cycling. A Good range good outlets, they also run guide tours. Plenty of parking though the car park nearest the Kelpies you have to pay the rest are free.
  • Great history around the place. Celebrating the pre-industrial era of Scotland. The horses represents this. They used to pull the boats through the canal. Nice place for an outing regardless of weather situation
  • If you get the chance call in and see this amazing installation for yourself. Pictures do not do it justice, especially at sunset. There is a good visitors centre there and some food options as well. The nearby helix park has some nice walks and a great adventure playground for the kids.
  • This was on my bucket list for my residence in Scotland and boy was it worth the drive. These sculptures are massive and beautiful. It looks like a different piece as you walk around it and even another after dusk when it lights up. Its beautiful and monumental. Also, what I didn't expect is a lovely canal with charming boats, an enormous and fun outdoor park for kids and a little cafe for coffees and food. It's a must for any time in Scotland.
