  • From Italian and archeologist, I must say that what remains of Vallo di Antonino is very little ... undoubtedly there is a strong interest on the part of Scotland in attracting tourists and natives and "live" Hadrian, but we are far from rhesus monkeys to which we are accustomed in southern Europe. Museums and information centres are located all along the wall, then what it lacks in archaeology, find it as services. There are often events related to Roman culture in Britain, for example, there is the Roman Week every year in Falkirk, with lots of events that introduce people to the Roman world. Is definitely something not to be missed if you come here in Scotland, but don't expect too much ... the only flaw that I find organizing Vallo is the lack of signs at some points that make you lose (meaning they just don't see them) the few traces left after millennia.
