  • Went here with the wife and kids. A nice gentle stroll tipped off with a nice drink and a sandwich. Things to keep the kids interested and happy. A nice relaxing stroll without any major climbs to wor...  more »

  • Free, large carpark. Decent coffee shop offering hot and cold food. Great for pushchairs but be aware that the 'stroller path' runs alongside water. Dog friendly. Remember your poo bags or ask a frien...  more »

  • Great country park! Well cared for good Wild life and fishing! We love it could do with more parking as it gets busy at weekends on a hot day and school holidays but it’s free and there’s a good cafe at the top of the hill!
  • A real hidden gem just a couple of miles from droylsden. Daisy Nook is a beautiful country park, following the course of a disused canal. Well worth a visit, with excellent parking facilities and wheelchair friendly which is unusual for a country park. Ideal for nature lovers and dog walkers. Stunning views with plenty of wildlife along the way.
  • Daisy Nook. This is a place that is a fantastic, well hidden (unless known to locals), gem. Families, dog walkers, horse riders, hikers. At any time of year, there is much to see, and much to walk toward. The vegetation constantly changes, yet, in a heatwave like this, you get an awful lot of shade from the established trees. There care are rivers, that are cool, and clear, for both had man, and animal. If you have young children, you can let them paddle, or run without fear of danger, as because of both parental vigilance, and the undergrowth, said child will always give themselves away! Highly recommended, and in this weather, drinks and a picnic, not to be sniffed at.
  • A gorgeous park with so many paths to choose, great in the summer for paddling in the streams also has a great tea bar for those days when a cup of tea and sausage sarnie are called for! If your very lucky you might even catch a glimpse of the guy walking his pet raccoon! Yes you read that right!!
  • Good place to spend and hour or so. Quiet hilly and the paths can be very muddy in winter. Carpark is small and could do with a cafe and more information on the routes available.
