Create an itinerary including World of Country Life
World of Country Life mixes local country living with history. Learn about baby animals in the hands-on petting farm. Marvel at the birds of prey by taking in the falconry display. Visit the exhibition hall to discover the area's local culture and history. The hall includes displays on the history of farming machinery, a replica Victorian era street, and tableaux of life in the 20's, 30's and 40's. Visit a field full of deer and llamas by riding "The Deer Train," a tractor-driven carriage. Due to the high demand of this ride, book your ticket when you enter the park. For something completely different, grab a goat and take it for a walk. • We visited here as a day out whilst staying in Devon Cliffs. Booked in advance, entry was quick and easy into the venue upon arrival. We had a fantastic day, a nice easy location if you're staying on the site nearby, lots of free parking. Loads of different things happening and they all seemed to happen in the morning and again in the afternoon so you didn't miss anything. Inside part of the museum was rather dated, but for me that made it even more interesting. Loved looking round the old machines and the cars. Great selection of play areas for the little ones too! Awesome collection of animals and very knowledgeable and helpful staff. We also did the deer train which was not something I'd ever experienced, I was concerned the deer might get run over but they seemed to have trained themselves to run alongside safely 🤣 then enjoyed the food when the tractor stopped! I 100% recommend. A great day out!
  • Was greeted warmly today visiting for the first time by Karenh, 1 adult £15.99. Wow this is well worth the price. The animals here are well looked after and healthy. There are so many, as it was such a lovely day most were out enjoying the sunshine with their babies. Friendly approachable and have their names. Loved every minute here. There is so much to see from old last century automobiles, type writers and farm equipment to something for the little ones with a big play area.
  • We planned to spend only a couple of hours here, but ended up staying for more than double that time. There was a nice variety of museum-like displays, playgrounds and soft play areas for the kids and hands-on animal-feeding activities. The ferret race was a bit quirky, but a good laugh. The commentator did a great job of making it a lively affair.
  • 1st time visiting and it was lovely. So much to do and see well worth the entry price. The tractor ride and feeding the deers was really nice to be up close to these animals. So much to do for kids big and small. The food bar was great and cheap for a place like this well worth the money( but the chips could have done with a few extra minutes) can't wait to go back and have another go.
  • Been coming here for about 16 years now and now I'm bringing my own little girl. Beautifully clean, good price for entrance, giftshop and food. Lovely friendly staff too. The animal are adorable and the indoor play zones are a great touch.
