  • Been here a few times now and absolutely love this place! As people have already said, the car parking is a bit expensive if you're only here for a short period of time (£3 all day) but I'm sure that ...  more »
  • We went to the Start Steps and walked down from the car park. The steps are a pleasant relaxing place and very unique. We spent a short time there then did the circular walk through woodland following...  more »
  • We nearly didn't stop - the car park charge is £3 for whole day, offers no shorter/cheaper option, nor any change. The short walk down to the steps is unchallenging and there are well marked routes if...  more »

  • Beautiful place to stay gorgeous food and fantastic staff!
  • We held my daughter's wedding at Tarr Farm Inn. The wedding ceremony was held in Southampton and then we drove all the way to the hotel for the reception! A long way and hard to find but it was well worth it. They did a splendid job and served some of the best food that I have ever seen at a wedding: not the usual mass catering but a real gourmet cuisine. Was also very good value. The staff were all extremely friendly and the location..... WOW! It was an absolutely idyllic place not just for a wedding but great for anyone who loves remote locations with an ancient atmosphere. Made it all a little bit of an adventure. All in all a splendid hotel for a wedding reception and gave everyone the feel of being on holiday too. The staff treat you like family. We will definitely visit again for a short break.
  • Great place
  • We stopped here just for a cream tea while at Tarr Steps. The portions were absolutely huge, and they kindly offered us a bag to take them away for the journey home. The garden is lovely, though plagued with wasps (to be expected with a cream tea...)
  • With this beautiful landscape. This pub is a step not to be missed after a walk in Tar Step. Decent menu despite a price appropriate to the location.
