  • What a beautiful place, tranquil and serene. The location and the whole aura of the memorial and gardens is inspiring. I am glad to have visited here and appreciate what it stands for.
  • I went with my wife to see her uncle's name on this memorial - George Hamilton Webster had been at Stradishall for only a few short months when he did not return after a bombing run to Muenster. There...  more »

  • An incredible place. So peaceful yet sad, poignant and moving. A wonderful setting to clear your head and reflect upon the utter selflessness of what these people did for us all.
  • We have visited the Memorial on a number of occasions since it was built, and are appreciative that other visitors also treat it with the respect it deserves. It also make a good 'centre' to walk down and visit the Magna Carta Memorial, and the JFK Memorial, although the walk uphill from the Magna Carta Memorial, can be a bit of a struggle for some.
  • A superb setting with views across Runnymede and the Thames Valley. The serenity of the memorial is the perfect way to honour the memory of the fallen. It is touching to find mementos and fresh flowers left for a loved one or friend despite the passage of time.
  • Fantastic place with nice views of Thames valley. Very peaceful place. Away from the noise of the city.
  • An incredibly moving place which includes my father's name, who died before I was born. I was at the opening of this beautiful Memorial in 1953 but too young to realise the significance at that time. RIP Kenneth John Yates.
