  • We are weekly visitors to Elvaston castle and the highlight of our trip is visiting Harrington tea rooms, lovely fresh cakes as well as savouries, lovely staff and surroundings
  • We just had the best scones I have ever eaten at the Harrington Tea Room at Elvaston Castle. This is our second visit during this trip to the U.K.
  • excellent walks and rides bike / horse for the family. nice clean cafe and perfect grounds to see. Maps and parking was not a problem
  • Absolutely love this park and would highly recommend it. Great for family days out and there is so much to see and walk round. The council are putting a lot into it. There is a nature reserve, open days for the Gothic hall, stargazing evenings, playing fields, the Norman church (with English civil war musket marks in the wall!) Etc etc. Love it.
  • A wonderful place to take the children for an all day romp. A beautiful park with a top notch little cafĂ©.
  • Well maintained country park that's great for an afternoon out. There is a range of things to see including gardens, a walled garden, and wooded areas. The tea rooms are quite food although they can sometimes be quite busy.
  • We love this place, even more so since the scaffolding was recently taken down. Don't visit expecting loss of activities or family fun, but if you are able to entertain yourselves or like walking then this is the place for you. Large expenses of lawns broken by hedges and creative planting make this a lovely place roll walk. Make sure you visit the walked garden, it is off the beaten track but worth a walk around in the summer. Parking charges are reasonable although finding the parking machines working is a little harder as they are usually out of service.
  • Great place to walk your dog, if you have mobility needs call in advance and book a tramper, they are great. The disabled parking isn't in the neon car park, do make sure you ask about directions for where you are coming from. Ore of our favorite walking spots.
