Aldenham Country Park Reviews
We rang before we went and were assured everything was open. Well if it was you could have fooled me. The animals were dirty, some areas were empty, the pens not clean and we felt really sorry for the... more »
had a really lovely time at the lamb feeding experience with my 3 year old. Our guide(sorry forgot her name!) was amazing. Very knowledgable, friendly and great at getting the kids involved. The farm ... more »
The first thing you notice after a long drive up a track is that there is an entrance barrier to the car park. There is nowhere to turn round if you change your mind about going in. Once you're on the... more »
Wonderful Day in the Sun. Really lovely to go on a sunny day, for a walk in the grounds, to see the farm animals and to have a picnic. Plenty of spaces to park, with staff being so friendly and helpful with everything. One comment is they should put a sign near the exit stating about how much the parking is, just so that everyone has the change ready in time. Great place to go!
Lovely day out. Ample parking and a lovely walk or a nice little farm. Will take about 1hr to view the farm at a modest speed. Has a bouncy castle for free indoors for kids.
Visited here several times with grandchildren. Last visit revealed the weakness of current development. It had rained constantly for some days previously and car parks, access paths, enlosures, and routes for prams and wheelchairs, and folks not wearing wellies, was very poor, a nice set up in the dry but simply a mud bath in the wet. A bit of wet weather proofing badly needed. Interesting petting experiences otherwise
A good place to take the children for a day out. There is an animal farm, horse riding and a lake that you can walk around. There is also a cafeteria, a small adventure playground and you can also hold children's parties.
A bit pricey considering how basic the facilities are and extremely muddy without proper paths. Not good for pushchairs. We had a nice time but farm entry (£5 for adults) should come with free parking rather than expecting you to also pay £4.50 on top. Its nice to be able to feed the animals, something other places are afraid of bit there is also a sense of health and safety being a bit lax. I saw old fence posts with nails poking out lying around the kids adventure play area and rotting posts in the play equipment....worrying. The rest of the park is nice for a walk but I wouldnt pay the car park charge just for a nice walk when there are plenty of free spots just as pretty elsewhere.
