  • Want expecting much but after finally finding it enjoyed a nice walk around with the wife. Would suggest a nice for a picnic.  more »
  • Well kept ruin, ok for a few photographs and a climb up the tower for countryside views. Don’t think it’s worth £6 entry fee.  more »
  • The ruins are easily reached from the car park and are visible for a while before that. They have enough there to make them interesting and the guided audio tour and info boards dotted around add to.....  more »
  • It's a great place. I liked the peaceful atmosphere with its prehistoric feel around it which was different to the actual side. The side does not feel clerical but like a castle
  • Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful any questions were met with good informative answers and suggestions. There is surprising rooms to find and the signs give a good idea to imagine what once was. It's crazy to think there was a 5 mile loch at the base of the palace that has now vanished. You can climb up to the very top of the tower and you are presented with a glorious view of the surrounding area from elgin to lossiemouth. Well worth a visit plenty of areas to stop and have a picnic. This site is fully dog friendly and there is a disabled toilet provided.
  • A little gem hidden away, the pictures don't do it justice as it is larger than it is. Beautiful views from the top of the tower, and lots to see, also looks like a woodland walk close by. Definitely worth the visit.
  • Kids loved exploring the palace ruins and answering the quiz.
  • Hoped to visit today but after went down single track road with passing places , small note at barrier to say CLOSED. Difficult to do a u turn on single track road with ditches either side and why not post closed on website and at turn off from main road or leave barrier open so could turn at car park? Don't know how the camper van that followed us managed.
