Visited several times over the years. Home of some of my Lindsay grandfathers. Like others, this castle suffered most from being stripped by the York Building Co. and local dismemberment. Joseph Lindsay Haley III Esq.
Great Castle, but gardens are a definate reason for visiting on their own. Great staff. Very atmospheric.
We almost blew past this place on the way to Aberdeen. We were very glad we didn't. The garden was really peaceful and blooming with color. And they had peacocks - well peacocks, peahens and some chicks as well.
Great place to have a little picnic ;)
