I went here with my husband and 1 year old. We found plenty of walks suitable for the pushchair & for our daughter to be able to toddle about. Plenty of parking and lovely walks
We did the cycle trail hiring bikes with link-it & seat for our 6 & 3 year old. Hiring was great, quick efficient service with excellent quality bikes. We had a fab time. Lunch in the cafe was excelle... read more »
There's different things to do such as high ropes and segways and the scenery is nice. The only issue is that it is massively over priced, both the cafe and the car park charge way too much.
Really lovely area, grassy areas in the woods for picnics, high ropes access, bike hire (which could do with opening later) and some really great single track riding. Red trip has been updated due to logging, and the new trails are fantastic, fast, smooth and lots of fun!
A great forestry commission site, a new toilet block last year has really helped improve the facilities. The local cycle shop is a touch pricey but useful if you need it.
What a fantastic place with plenty of activities for anyone: cycling (from well laid-out family trails to tough adventurous routes), tree-climbing, segways, playgrounds for children. All clean and well kept. Highly recommended!
Sherwoodpines is a great place for kids the bike trails are great. The green is great for the family and the blues & the reds are great for the moutain bike enthusiast. There is also a small skills area just on the right as you start the green and blue run my little boy loves it in there he is 6 and would spend all day in there if he could. There is plenty of grassed area to picnic and play great place for a day out
Brilliant. If you like to Cycle, climb (GO-APE), walk, picnic or just pull up in the car park and admire the view of the forest then this is the place for you. There is plenty of space for the kids to run free, play and experience the outdoors and nature.
