  • The outside architecture is truly quaint and beautiful, but the museum is small inside. It only takes about 10-15 minutes to go through the entire thing.  more »

  • This small museum has artifacts and stories from the lives of Scottish writers Robert Burns, Walter Scott and Robert Louis Stevenson. I enjoyed seeing Scott's childhood rocking horse, Burn's sword-cane cane and Stevenson's fishing creel. I really enjoy exploring smaller museums, finding them less intimidating than the large ones.
  • Small and pretty and quite informative. It is a perfect stop to see the handwritten documents of Robert Burns.
  • Free museum in an old mansion tucked away in a square. The view out of the staircase window hasn't changed since 1750. Antiques and collections from Burns, Scott and Stevenson. And its free.
  • Probably one of the most beautiful buildings in Edinburgh. Just off the Royal Mile, it's easy to find, with a wealth of information and history to be learned
  • Interesting little museum located in a historic home. Free to enter, so don't hesitate to stop by.
