  • It was an evening of December, with a cold that Peel and I passed alone through the city. He had already seen the previous day menu in the glass out and I was calling the bowl of soup with noodles. Friendly Lady suggested me a few "fresh rolls" typical Vietnamese restaurants and also asked for them. They were good, but the chicken soup and noodles, boiling, Pate that was good. Raise the dead. Local rare, full of paintings being sold, so it's an art gallery also, although quiet and in a semicentrica area. It is worth taking a hot soup, watching the hustle and bustle of the city by the glass.

  • Excellent food....soo tasty and the owner Giang is lovely. I am a regular that cannot get enough of this amazing food
  • Please DO NOT walk by thinking this only an art gallery! If you do, you are missing out on a perfect treat for all your senses!! Oh! Wow! I have just literally tried the most amazing 'Com'/steamed rice with (I chose) pork. I've tried Vietnamese coffee for the first time today and it's something I'll be having again To add to all this, I am sitting surrounded by beautiful art and that completes the package! It's not crowded; there was a couple sitting by the window, with a view of the Haymarket station, when I arrived first. Do definitely visit this place if you're ever in Edinburgh! The person who runs this gallery/café is very friendly too... I had to edit and add that I did buy some trinkets and a bag too from here, which I think were reasonably priced!
  • The best soup ever in the world!! Just love going to this place and the service is outstanding
  • A hidden gem. Imagine sitting sorrounded by paintings whilst steaming fresh homely food is placed in front of you by a very kind owner. Now add in well balanced flavors with consistent great cooking. What you end up with is a very happy tummy and feeling nurished. So close to the tram station and a 1 min walk from haymarket train station. Get there right now or miss out on knee trembling, flavoursome package.
  • I was here today and I my meal of Com Steamed Rice and Pork served with a herb and sesame seed, peanut, garlic and chilli sauce was outstanding, my first mouthful of rice, pork and the fried lettuce side salad had me smiling like a madman! It is one of the best things I have ever eaten, so flavoursome and so balanced, just excellent and it came with a soft drink as a lunch time meal deal for only 5.95! I also tried the Vietnamese coffee, looks a like an upside down Guinness as the sweet milk is at the bottom of the glass, the coffee was superb, robust and sweet and just divine. Vietnamese art adorns the walls and makes it a lovely and interesting place to sit and relax, the owner Le Giang Morrison is a wonderful host and is genuinely caring and welcoming, this is the third time I've been and I just love the ambience, the music, the art and the authentic Vietnamese food and the warm and friendly welcome I receive. An exotic oasis opposite Haymarket tram stop, fantastic!
