The Museum represents the history of The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers & Greys). Housed within the 1790's built New Barracks within Edinburgh Castle the museum tells the story of the five Regiments over more than 300 years that have formed todays SCOTS DG. These great regiments are the Royal Scots Greys, the 6th Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers), the 3rd Dragoon Guards (Prince of Wales's Own), the 3rd Carabiniers and the 25th Dragoons.

    the museum-situated in the Castle and it's about the history of the Scottish regiments of Dragoons on horseback. It's an insight into military history not only deì regiments and their commanders but their use on all battlefields on which he compared the British Empire. Well worth a visit.

    This museum is located inside Edinburgh Castle. If you are in the castle then it is worth a look. It is especially interesting for those interested in Military History, like my husband.  more »

  • Don't leave Edinburgh castle without stopping here! Seeing the French eagle captured at the battle of Waterloo is the crown Jewel of the museum.
