  • The title sums it all up really. It's a lovely small shop just off the Royal Mile. Once you've tried it the thought of going back to the stale tinned stuff will be unthinkable. Perfect for a gift as t...  more »
  • Bought a couple peanut butter cups from here, instantly had to go back and buy more they were so tasty! Chewy toffees were yum too - definitely recommended
  • The best shortbread in Scotland. That no one has opened a shortbread shop before on the Royal Mile astounds me. That P&P have opened and done so well is no shock: the shortbread is amazing and the qua...  more »

  • I'm not a big shortbread fan but this place is making me a convert. It's all open plan so you can see and more importantly smell the fresh baking as soon as you walk in. The shortbread is extremely buttery and smooth and very easy to eat. Would also highly recommend the marshmallows which are unlike anything I've ever tried and just melt in the mouth.
  • We loved this shop! The shortbread flavor options are amazing. We were headed back to the US the next day so we asked the owner to pack 4 small boxes for us to bring back for gifts. The shortbread made it home in excellent condition (and still fresh) , the receipients loved them and enjoyed a small taste of Scotland! Definitely a must visit!
  • Pinnies is the place to buy delicious shortbread. I like to go there just for the smell of butter and sugar ! You can buy one or many shortbread at a time but be quick if you like one because when it's gone, it's gone. I love the chai version, it's very "Christmassy"
  • Disclaimer: I love shortbread cookies. With that off my chest I have to say that I have never tried fresher & tastier shortbread cookies Pinnies also offers a great variety of them to get a variation on a theme. Almost all flavored offered something unique to the pallet. Recommended!!
  • Jennifer's shop makes the most extraordinary shortbread cookies EVER!!! They truly melt in your mouth!! Thank goodness 2 of our daughters were getting Master's degrees at the University of Edinburgh or we would never had tasted this deliciousness!!! Another daughter just got back from a visit and brought us back FOUR boxes of cookies...woohoo!!! DO NOT MISS THIS YUMMY SHOP...your tummy will thank you!!!!!
