  • This was a nice diversion along the Royal Mile. Not a souvenir shop, so a good change of pace. Some of the dioramas were a little goofy- but what the heck. Also there were several more floors going up...  more »

  • This museum told the story of the lives of the people of Edinburgh. It was very easy to read the information and see the displays. The staff made us feel very welcome and were polite and friendly.

  • Great free place. Covers history from way back till 1980s. Well worth the visit.
  • Very nice museum but I think it could be more interactive stuff to make it more interesting.
  • It's a very simple museum, free entrance, that tells you a bit about how Irish people lived along the centuries.
  • A great old building in the toolbooth good stories and friendly staff up in the attic area there is a movie room the wind blows through the stonework and is quite creepy,good fun
  • Gorgeous , I liked it a lot there is different stories about people's history in Edinburg in addition the staff were so friendly.
