  • Excellent venue for a variety of events. We had a wedding here and were super impressed by the organization and attention to detail. Excellent food and dinner service too. Lovely atmosphere inside, wonderful murals.
  • Such a beautiful place for Kirstin and Chris s wedding. The setting is just awesome and has been restored to its former glory. Well worth a visit.👍
  • Seriously incredible not only in looks but in service. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Best choice we made was choosing this venue, couldn't have been happier and wouldn't change a thing. We worked with Helen throughout the whole experience and she was incredible, couldn't have done it with out her! We were married at Mansfield in September, and I was so impressed with their professionalism, preparation, attention to detail, timeliness, adherence to the plan, and assistance for whatever we needed. The food was incredible and everyone raved about the personal touches in the food that isn't always possible with wedding food in large quantities! My brother in law said it was the best steak he's ever had at a wedding. The formal dining service was impressive and professional and all of the dinner courses ran on time and with precision. The whiskey tasting, bar service, canapes, equipment set up...everything was so well done, I can't say it enough. The venue itself is a sight to be seen and I still think the venue was one of the most beautiful parts of the wedding! We also had the pea lights in the cathedral and it was SO worth it. Made for perfect pictures and ambiance.
  • Well worth a visit. The murals are stunning and have much more impact than you might expect from seeing photographs of them online. The tour by a well-informed volunteer guide, was excellent.
  • Amazing place to visit. Guides very helpful in explaining the rich history.

Where to stay in Edinburgh

Edinburgh hides a maze of cobbled streets dotted with boutique hotels offering inexpensive rooms and outstanding restaurants. Many of the city's Gothic buildings house chic hotels with easy access to most of the city’s main tourist sites. For a uniquely Scottish experience, consider staying in the famous old town. Despite being in this historical district, many hotels here feature contemporary decor with lots of glass walls and muted color schemes. They’re also known for offering spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and restaurants serving classic European cuisine, with a modern Scottish twist.
