  • We visit they play Park with our kids every time we are in the area or visiting the botanic gardens.
  • Large open space with views to the Royal Mile on the horizon. Relaxed family atmosphere. Cricket being played on a hot Saturday in August. Lovely for a stroll, to let kids run wild, or just for some q...  read more »
  • This is close to where we live so we come here quite a bit. Nice place to relax on a warm day. The pond is really nice, too.
  • Lovely park for everything from Sun bathing, Dog Walking or excercising. Well worth a visit and right next to the Gardens.
  • Nice big park in the new town area. This has plenty of green spaces and paths for walking, running, meandering etc. Has a 'trim trail' if you fancy adding on some fiendish exercises to your run. There's also a duck pond, and has gorgeous views of the town and castle, which makes it a great observation point for fireworks. Also right next to the Botanics should you wish to wander round some gardens with more flowers and plants - less playing opportunities there though!
  • A lovely park just outside the center of Edinburgh. There is a pond and a fantastic view over to stockbridge, cycle paths and green spaces for sports or picnics. There are games of cricket at the weekend and other sports are practiced here, also good for dog walkers.
  • One of the best parks in Edinburgh, big open area and some outdoor gym facilities.
  • One of the most beautiful places to go for a run in the city. The circumference also as calisthenics and assault course obstacles which are great for turning, what is already a beautiful run, in to a full body workout!
