  • As far as fudge makers go, these guys are great. Interesting to talk to, helpful sales, informative about products and production.  more »
  • Three of us visited the Fudge Kitchen, 30 High Street, Edinburgh (on one gift voucher) and thoroughly enjoyed helping make a batch of fudge from scratch. Our tutor (Ray) was very knowledgeable, yet no...  more »
  • A couple of free samples to get a taste. I bought 3 different types, all of them were great! Bit expensive but totally worth it!  more »

  • Fantastically flavoursome fudge. Honestly the best fudge I've ever tasted. Some may baulk at the prices but honestly i'd say it's worth it for the quality. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and provide ample samples of different fudges to try. They regularly have fudge being made at the back of the shop, which you can watch being made. And if that doesn't satisfy the sweet tooth enough, they sell make-at-home kits.
  • Amazing fudge, made in front of you, with very generous free samples! Genuinely some of the best fudge I've ever tasted, there's occasionally deals on big orders and my friends were not disappointed with the very elaborate presentation boxes I brought back as a gifts for them. There's certainly cheaper fudge available in Edinburgh but the experience of going in, seeing it made and the wide assortment of flavours makes the price worth it, clearly many years of experience go into the fudge. Highly recommended!
  • My friend from Edinburgh brought me here saying he goes here since he was a child and this is the best fudge in Edinburgh. As soon as we walked in the atmosphere was great and the very friendly staff offered us a free sample of any kind of fudge. I guarantee as soon as you taste some, you can't say no. This fudge is just too good. I ended up buying a very large slice of chocolate fudge with sea salt and I'm fighting myself trying to not eat it all in one go. The staff will always recommend something different and will explain how it's made and how they use the same 1830's recipe. If you are a tourist in Edinburgh, this is definitely worth a visit!
  • The best fudge I've ever had. Intended on buying one for a friend, tried a sample and walked out with three. You can certainly taste the quality of the ingredients. Will certainly get more when I return to Edinburgh.
  • It's a really nice place, and the staff is really friendly. You can try any of the traditional fudges they make before you buy. Recently they also introduced vegan fudge, which is amazing :)

Where to stay in Edinburgh

Edinburgh hides a maze of cobbled streets dotted with boutique hotels offering inexpensive rooms and outstanding restaurants. Many of the city's Gothic buildings house chic hotels with easy access to most of the city’s main tourist sites. For a uniquely Scottish experience, consider staying in the famous old town. Despite being in this historical district, many hotels here feature contemporary decor with lots of glass walls and muted color schemes. They’re also known for offering spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and restaurants serving classic European cuisine, with a modern Scottish twist.
