  • Since moving back to Scotland 2 years ago, I have been a regular visitor to Eddie's. With a vast selection of fish and seafood, the only difficult thing is deciding what to choose. Compared with other fishmongers in Edinburgh and indeed Scotland, since I've been known to drive to Fraserburgh for halibut, their prices are exceptionally competitive and excellent value for money, because you know what you're going to get. Why? Because the standards of service, helpfulness and friendliness are beyond what would be normal 5-star anywhere else. My highest recommendations for Eddie's for anyone who likes seafood.
  • The best fishmonger I know of. Exceptional staff and produce. It's popularity is reflective of the quality of service. A real gem.
  • Well known as an excellent fishmonger, they stock a huge variety of fish and shellfish both fresh and frozen. Staff are always helpful and quality is high. The only place in Edinburgh I have seen specifically sashimi grade salmon and tuna.
  • Staffs are very arrogant and impolite. They show discrimination to us Because I speak Mandarin. That is rude and unfair.
  • Drove for 1hour 30mins just to get here and as always it was well worth it. I've been going here now for 20years plus and everytime the service has been 10 out of 10 and the seafood amazing. Its so so friendly and my kids just love the place. Eddie and his family are always smiling because they absolutely love what they do with a passion. I am not joking when i say its by far the best place in Edinburgh to get fresh fresh seafood. The price is good the service is good and the seafood is good. If you love seafood then this is the place to get it from. πŸ¦€πŸ¦€πŸ¦€πŸ¦€πŸ¦€πŸŸπŸŸπŸŸπŸŸπŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

Where to stay in Edinburgh

Edinburgh hides a maze of cobbled streets dotted with boutique hotels offering inexpensive rooms and outstanding restaurants. Many of the city's Gothic buildings house chic hotels with easy access to most of the city’s main tourist sites. For a uniquely Scottish experience, consider staying in the famous old town. Despite being in this historical district, many hotels here feature contemporary decor with lots of glass walls and muted color schemes. They’re also known for offering spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and restaurants serving classic European cuisine, with a modern Scottish twist.
