  • Hearts fan here. I am reviewing the stadium and not the team that plays in it. I will be honest and say that this stadium is better than Tynecastle, but we will get to compare the stadiums better once the new main stand for Tynecastle is complete.
  • A nice way to spend a few hours on the weekend. Great atmosphere, good for a day out with your kids.
  • I used to go to Easter Road for every home game in the 70's, and they were a really good time for a while, not as good as the great sides of the 50's of course. But what a disaster since. A major embarrassment for all fans. They should have merged with Hearts all those years ago.
  • A smashing day out full of noisy chanting. Shame the refereeing is so poor. The manager has instilled some steel in the team as was borne out by saturday's comeback until the final deflected goal. Eventually we nearly got a second equaliser via Rocky a foot either way it is in . So near so far but onwards and upwards.GGTTH.
  • I turned up and it was locked. Maybe it's better when there's football on.

Where to stay in Edinburgh

Edinburgh hides a maze of cobbled streets dotted with boutique hotels offering inexpensive rooms and outstanding restaurants. Many of the city's Gothic buildings house chic hotels with easy access to most of the city’s main tourist sites. For a uniquely Scottish experience, consider staying in the famous old town. Despite being in this historical district, many hotels here feature contemporary decor with lots of glass walls and muted color schemes. They’re also known for offering spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and restaurants serving classic European cuisine, with a modern Scottish twist.
