  • Perfect place to get some very high-quality Scottish product and gifts.
  • I had heard a great deal about Cranachan & Crowdie and I wanted some delectable Scottish goodies to take home for me and to share so I decided to pop in. The first thing you notice is the shops location, right In the middle of the Cannongate on the beautiful Royal Mile. The store is quite small, so when you enter you can see the whole selection just by turning your head. Inside there is a wonderful selection of delectable treats and products from all corners of Scotland. Smoked salmon, chocolate, tea, coffee, shortbread, smoked venison chorizo, fudge, Scotch tablet and many more delicious things. There are tea towels, tea cups, mugs, hampers you can fill with delicious and useful things, drinking glasses, dram glasses and books! My favourite item was the Wicked chocolate buttons. The ladies who own and run the store are lovely. So friendly and very knowledgable about their stock, Edinburgh and the Royal Mile and indeed of Scotland. I learned quite a bit about Edinburgh from those ladies. If you want another piece of Scotland to take home and treasure, the pop into Neanie Scott which is further down the Royal Mile just a few minutes from Cranachan & Crowdie just beyond the Cannongate Kirk. If you are in Edinburgh, do pop into Cranachan & Crowdie. You won't regret it.
  • This is the best place to find high-quality Scottish foodie gifts and produce. Everything they sell is produced in Scotland and of the best quality, and prices reflect that but it's often worth it! They have lovely shortbreads, jams, chutneys, whiskies and even cheeses and refrigerated fresh items. It's great for tourists or visitors! Although it's a bit expensive for locals, a great perk for locals is that they pick up fresh breads from the Manna House bakery (for the same price as the Manna House!) and it is so convenient to be able to buy good quality fresh bread on the Royal Mile. I'd highly recommend popping in here for gifts or special treats!
  • This shop has the most wonderful selection of Scottish foods and gifts. Additionally, the ladies working here when I visited were friendly and very knowledgable about their products. I'll definitely return again!
  • Like an Aladdin's cave of Scottish delights, you'll some real foodie treasures here... smoked salmon, craft beer, homemade pies, gourmet black pudding and cool condiments. Can't decide what to buy? They do hampers too so they can do the choosing for you. My pick however would be the amazing salted chocolate discs (with a beautiful swirly pattern) made in Perthshire – chocolate so good it could bring tears to your eyes!
