Murrayfield Stadium is a sports stadium located in the west end of Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. Its all-seater capacity was recently reduced from 67,800 to 67,144 to incorporate the largest permanent "big screens" in the country, though it remains the largest stadium in Scotland and the 6th largest in the United Kingdom. The stadium is the home of the Scottish Rugby Union, and is primarily used as a venue for rugby union and hosts most of Scotland's home test matches, the Scottish Hydro Electric Cup final, as well as Pro12 and Heineken Cup matches.Although mainly a rugby union stadium, Murrayfield has in the past hosted American football, rugby league and association football matches and music concerts. One of the most notable of the latter was the Edinburgh 50,000 - The Final Push concert as part of Live 8.LocationMurrayfield is located near to Murrayfield Ice Rink, Murrayfield Curling Rink, and close to Edinburgh Zoo. It is named after the area of Edinburgh it is located in, Murrayfield.

  • Match Scotland Wales in February 2015 with the joy of hearing 2 hymns Land of my Fathers and especially a memorable Flower Of Scotland, sung by all spectators! Unforgettable moment! When it comes to visit the stadium outside of a sporting event, I do not know if there is a real interest... the real interest revolves around animations, Scotsmen, chants, bagpipes and beer ;-)!

  • How can ya go through a holiday without getting in a game of rugby?! Seat are nice, the stadium up to date enough. great time!

  • The home of Scottish Rugby. While I would love a 5 star performance from the home team (Scotland or Edinburgh) every very time I go, it's hard to guarantee. But the stadium and its facilities there are 5 star every time.
  • Fantastic home crowd. Best atmosphere. Young kid friendly. Saw my first rugby game here when I was about 10! Ticket prices are usually acceptable, but it depends. It's well worth the experience of going to a match though.
  • A great home crowd and atmosphere for both local and international events. Super public transport too. Worth noting it's cash only for pretty much everything once inside the venue.
  • Great facilities for the Pro 12 final. Good area for fanzone and smaller pitches for the 7s.
  • Great place with a great atmosphere, been a while since i went to a game but is always a great day out
