Eastbourne Pier, Eastbourne

(3.4/5 based on 1,400+ reviews on the web)
Enjoy a cup of cream tea at Eastbourne Pier, an old-fashioned seaside wharf that has long been a favorite hangout for both local families and passing tourists. The site once included several traditional pier theaters, the last one of which was destroyed by fire in 1970. Today, on the landward half of the pier stand a bar, nightclub, fish and chip kiosk, amusement arcade, and a fast food outlet. Farther out are a small cafe, restaurant, clothing shop, and a tattoo parlor. The tower at the end of the pier is often used as a convenient viewing point during the annual air show. Drop by on a quiet evening to soak up the atmosphere and mingle with the locals. See Eastbourne Pier and all Eastbourne has to offer by arranging your trip with our Eastbourne travel itinerary maker.

  • I really like the new look pier, without the huge arcade at the front, its just what a victorian pier should be. But I wish they would bring the fishing back at the end, as it used to be great watchin...  more »
  • It doesn't take long to walk round it. A gorgeous tea and cake shop all lit up. Lovely glass blowing and artifical flower shop. The pier is well looked after and not full of tacky shops and loud games...  more »
  • The pier seemed to be in very good condition and was not full of tacky concessions and smelling of chip fat. We visited on a beautiful clear sunny day. The pier is free and gives good views of the Eas...  more »

  • There is no better place in Eastbourne to get a taste of the town life and sample what it has to offer. Lots to see and do on the pier itself from hand made glass gifts, arcade, night club, bar and assorted gifts to remember your visit with. The nearby promenade has a truly spectacular flower display, and plenty of seating throughout to enjoy the views and some fish and chips.
  • What a lovely place, Very friendly people. Went on a random day out with my wife and baby. The fish and chips ( on the pier) was yummy but don't sit inside, instead walk up the pier where benches are provided. Parking was cheap £4 for the whole day. Lots of places along the beach to stop for something to eat or drink. I would definitely go again 100%.
  • I have always loved Eastbourne pier. That said the lighting needs sorting out. Looks very dark and bare at night.
  • For a seaside town this place is amazing it's clean tidy great atmosphere lots of things to do. Quiet alot of choice for food. Would definitely go here again
  • Awesome boardwalk with nice views of the beach line. Tons of food and seagulls for entertainment. Don't pass it up when you visit Eastbourne!
