  • This attraction is superb for kids 9 and under as more geared to younger ones. It is well run compact in lovely surroundings. The cost is reasonable for families too. The staff are polite and helpful....  more »
  • It is a wonderful attraction in which has: reproductions of trains in miniature, a beautiful natural park to explore riding in its tourist train. Very careful in every one of the details. Better to pay the entry that includes all the trips you want in the little train, are two pounds more, and if you go with children, deserve the penalty, they want to ride over and over again and greet everyone that cross the route. A single stick, as we were not in car access is a little complicated. The bus leaves you far, and have to cross a road to access the attraction.

  • Took my small grandson here to ride the trains, during the summer months ( six weeks holidays) they get the steam trains out and this is a real treat for any boy big or small. The little snack bar/res...  more »

  • Love this place! The train ride is just long enough to enjoy the beautiful scenery but not too long to get bored or uncomfortable. The play areas are great - one for toddlers and one for older kids. The cafe is great with really friendly and helpful staff. It's a little expensive for adults, but not overly so. Just makes it a special trip out rather than frequent visits
  • Extensive playgrounds and open spaces. Lots of miniature steam and diesel locomotives, although often only one running. Entrance price is reasonable but the season ticket is especially good value. Hot Ian cold food available with seating outside but the range is limited.
  • Excellent value for money on the entry, snacks and drinks. The train goes around the lake and takes a little over 5 minutes. The maze is good enough to be fun but small enough for a toddler to handle. There is a large play area at the entrance (with fenced off toddler area) and two smaller play areas when walking round the lake.
  • My 3 & my 7-year-old thought the trains were amazing (their mum too!) and the playground was really good both for little ones (there's a gated part) and bigger ones (the maze kept my 7-year-old busy for the best part of an hour)... We liked the little exhibition w model railways too and we didn't even walk around in the other parts. It's not big but quite cosy and good for some hours fun and independent exploring... would get the last star if they had more than one station ;-)
  • My little brother loves it here. Great place for the kids to play for the day. Although not a great deal here other than the train ride and a lot of little parks for the kids to play on.
