  • well worth the visit for farm products all home grown I believe prices a little on the high side. But there again it is what you pay for
  • Stopped off for lunch during a trip out. Stilton and broccoli soup strong and piping hot. Fresh pork sandwich with apple sauce and salad very tasty.
  • Nice farm shop, a bit pricey for young couple's pocket. Great for local products, more on the upper market range than essential value range. Limited selection of fresh products left on late Sunday aft...  more »

  • Lovely shop, plenty of great local produce. Not the cheapest, but from what we tried it's great quality. Nice café & kids play area. There are animals outside for the kids to have a look at too. My 6yr old was very impressed by the camels. As others have said, way better than a service station. Well worth a visit if you're passing by.
  • Describing Mainsgill as a Farm Shop is a bit like saying Buckingham Palace is a building. It's more of a destination. Perfectly placed on the A66 for those going to the lakes and beyond to get ready made meal items and good quality food for a holiday. Also has a good café and outside sitting area with children's play area. A great place to take a break on a long journey.
  • Perfectly situated amongst the rolling hills of the Northern Dales, 4 miles west of Scotch Corner on The A 66, Mainsgill Farm makes an ideal journey breaker or destination for great food in their large restaurant, or to take away. Great services with children's activities well catered for. Oh, did I mention the camels?
  • Has been expanded to accommodate more diners in their cafe. Food of a high quality and friendly service. Toilets could do with being bigger now though.
  • Excellent shop with lots of local produce and specialist food and drink. Wide variety quality goods for home and clothing too. Super cafe serving great food at reasonable prices in very comfortable surroundings. Friendly service.
