The whole family loves a good walk in the woods and Thetford is perfect for it. Well marked out trails open to walkers and cyclers. A welcome break from the pace of life...
Free to get in, with numerous woodland walks with several themes. Parking £2.20 an hour, pay as you leave. We went on the stickman walk, which unfortunately closes the end of next week. However the musical walk is fab, so simple, yet fantastic for getting the family out for some exercise. I can imagine some of the bike trails are brilliant with great opportunities for some true off road mountain biking. I would personally recommend keeping 3 hours for this place, hoping the weather is nice and taking a picnic. There is also bbq spots available to hire which might be worth looking into. Go Ape! Is also available here for a cost. Looked brill however we didn't use it.

Well equipped and maintained site. Plenty of activities to keep all entertained. Great MTB trails catering for most levels, good wooden play areas and wildlife trails for the children and a reasonably priced Café to boot. At first glance the car parking cost can seem at but steep but when you consider what you get for your day out it really is good value. Been to the odd concert here too. Makes for an interesting venue.
Nice area for long and short walks. Well kept. And plenty of car parks inside. There might be a price for parking however this goes towards the maintenance and staff to look after the Forest. Great activities inside including Go Ape. Can't forget the events they hold including live music. Great place!
We had a pleasant Sunday family visit. At first the parking price seems quite steep, but if you have children it includes access to the extensive forest play equipment, and music trail which is at least a couple of hours distraction. Facilities are well designed. Now that the endless roadworks on the A11 are now ended, it is quick and easy to get there at the weekend from Cambridge.
You get to try new things for example tree top adventure. It's a beautiful play area mainly for kids.
