Hall Hill Farm provides family-fun with lots of activities to keep children entertained. Take a tractor ride around the farm and enjoy views of the rolling countryside and animals. Head to the play area where children can enjoy the adventure trail, swings, slides, and climbing wall. There are also lots of opportunities to get up close with the animals. Feed the friendliest creatures, located in an undercover area, and have the food licked straight out of your hand. Cuddle rabbits, guinea pigs, and fluffy chicks. Unwind in the tearoom and enjoy a hot drink and homemade cakes or scones. Put Hall Hill Farm into our Durham route planner and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • Hall Hill Farm is a brilliant place, there's so much to do, with indoor and outdoor spaces and lots of animals large and small, big enough to spend a whole day but small enough to retain a family farm...  more »
  • The kids absolutely loved being with the animals and being able to hold them. They were thrilled with the tractor ride too. Set in a beautiful rural setting, a really enjoyable family day out with lit...  more »
  • Not the largest visitor farm in the north east but plenty to keep young ones entertained (7and under). Enjoyable day out and a chance to feed and hold some animals.  more »

  • Visited today for my 4 year old son's birthday as he's very much into tractors and animals at the moment. Have visited many times before as well. It's reasonably priced by farm standards, about £7 each, although there are family tickets available. In terms of facilities there are obviously lots of animals including cows, pigs, sheep, goats, alpacas and probably more. There is also a play barn with soft play and ride on tractors and an outdoor playground and a bouncy pillow. Included in the entry is the tractor ride as well and there's a water warfare game which involves firing water bombs at each other which is good fun if not wet. Finally there is also a puppet show and chicks, rabbits and guinea pigs to hold. The cafe is reasonable as well, about £1.80 for a coffee and £3 for a sausage sandwich. Overall it's a good place to visit.
  • Just visited Hall Hill farm and had a brilliant time, excellent for all ages. Only cost £27 for 2 adults and 2 children (booked online) cafe is reasonably priced too. Animals really well looked after which is what you want to see.
  • Ace!!! Today was the first time I went with my four year old and she loved it: well looked after animals, fun staff, lots to do, great outdoor play and indoor play, clean well maintained facilities. She held a chick, a rabbit and a guinea pig (all firsts for her) took a donkey ride, watched a sheep race, saw a fab puppet show, bounced, climbed and played. Highly recommended- we will be back.
  • Took my grand kids aged 10 and 5 there they absolutely loved it. I thought the prices were reasonable and there was something to do under cover if the weather turned nasty. Can recommend for a good day out for a decent price.
  • Amazing staff, so friendly and patient. Lovely atmosphere, good selection of animals to pet and hold. Indoor play area was a bonus and we loved the crazy golf. Very reasonable prices. Fantastic day out!
