  • you can see some trees, look at stick insects and get some lunch. the garden is peaceful and i enjoyed sitting in the bird hide.
  • Lovely gardens just outside the main city, full of varied landscapes , plenty of places to sit in peace and quiet. Nice tea room avoid the breakfast though, bacon a bit leathery and bread buns stodgy.
  • Really enjoyed our visit, lots of secret corners to discover. A pleasant walk from Durham centre. Interesting things to learn too.
  • An absolute hidden gem, beautiful in all seasons. So much to see, and big enough to get a bit lost in if you want somewhere calm and quiet. Great for picnics, summer walks and afternoon tea. Car parking is available and the top gardens are wheelchair accessible. The greenhouses are a magical little world, great for families (or if like me you just really like cacti and giant water lilies)
  • Good place in Durham a bit out of the way worth a visit a bit expensive though
  • A wonderful place to go as a family. Our grandchildren loved the walks and grassy paths. It is a magical place to take children if you want to develop their interest in nature.
  • Lovely and peaceful.
  • Fantastic. Garden tidy well laid out reasonable as well coffee good.
