  • A great place to walk, cycle, jog or whatever around the lake. 5 miles in total but can be shorter if you come back the same way. Nice views, wildlife and birds. Then back at the clubhouse upstairs is a lovely coffee shop where you can sit on the verrandah, or inside, and enjoy a drink along with some lovely home cooked cakes, breakfasts or lunches all at a very reasonable price. Also there is a large car park with plenty of disabled spaces and opposite that a very large, fenced play area for children along with a refreshment hut. Entry to the complex is FREE and parking has a little charge but not if you are disabled. Highly recommended.
  • Great place to visit. Parking is £3.50 for the whole day then everything else is free. The resevoir has a well paved track some the edge which is perfect for running or cycling. There is a visitor centre song with boat hire. There is a cafe looking out over the lake with decent food that isn't too expensive. There is also a big play area for kids.
  • Great place to go with the family. Great for cycling with the kids as it mostly flat and has a lovely play ground and café. In the summer you can have a BBQ on the playing field near the playground. Avoid the last half of April though as that is normally when the place I swarmed with insects but it's gone normally by May.
  • Gorgeous walk. You need coins for the pay and display parking otherwise u have to purchase something in the overpriced cafe/shop to get change. Shame dogs on lead arent allowed around reservoir as it would be perfect for dog walks. Overall beautiful location and well kept except for the little garden by the reservoir.
  • Just a path that goes around a massive pond. Not the worst last resort if I've completely run out of ideas on how to spend my day. Nice distance to cycle.
