We came here for the first time with our dog. Paid £2.50 to park the car only to find that no dogs are allowed by the water. Spend some time walking on the neighboring hill. Disappointed really as it ...  more »

Paid for very expensive parking then walked up to the reservoir only to find dogs aren't allowed. Why aren't dogs allowed on the footpath around the lake? We are responsible dog owners and would not l...  more »

Draycote water is a great place to enjoy traffic free running / cycling and walking. Being fairly level all the way round the reservoir makes it ideal for children as well. Approx 5 miles all the way ...  more »

  • Good for an easy ride, 5 mile loop. Would be better if they allowed dogs. Well behaved and on a lead of course. I have a husky that comes on rides with me, securely attached to my bike with a dog specific attachment. She would love to do 3 or 4 laps of draycote.
  • Nice open space with play area for kids and long cycling/,walking path. Can be very windy. Got to see lot of wild rabbits.
  • Amazing place especially when the sun is up, the kids playground was very attractive for my children , it is a very good choice for a family day out in a good weather
  • Beautiful to see relatively vast amounts of open water in pretty much the centre of the UK. Good parking, but not cheap. Easily walk/jog/cycle the 5 mile circumference of the reservoir on a purpose built and well maintained path with various points to stop and sit down if you so wish. The water is actively used by club members on small sail boats / windsurfers. Large overlooking cafe.
  • Great place to spend an afternoon. Can have a lovely walk or cycle round the five mile tarmac track all round the reservoir. Good play area for kids and thw restaurant is a great place to chill with tea and cake and watch the world go by.
