  • a visit which is worthwhile. The Cathedral is huge, and in really nice to look at. the building is in the middle of the place and easy to find. This includes a large free car park.

  • The very knowledged "guide" on the inside could tell the full story of how the building was designed and constructed. Very very interesting and definitly well worth the time we spent there.  more »
  • Sometimes the editors of tourist guides go wild hyperbole, are visitor creating high expectations. In my opinion, this is the case of the Cathedral of Dunblane described by Lonely Planet as "fabulous". Bella, Yes, both outside and inside; impressive Yes, although in Scotland within this category is even better; definitely impressive and definitely worth a visit (who, like us, does not have a car there arriving by train from Stirling in a short time and expense not overdone). The word fabulous, however, expresses an emotional dimension almost inimitable, and I wouldn't say I could share.

  • We had a very fascinating morning looking around this gem. It is well looked after and there are some surprises within. Recommended tae be seen this place also has a small but well run shop and informative lassie in attendance.
  • Very beautiful inside. Fantastic carvings and Windows. Shuts for an hour at dinner time but free to get in.
  • There's been a building here for over 1000 years, nowadays there are choral concerts and it's well worth visiting. The good free museum is just across the road. So, incidentally, are Dunblane's public loos - inside the council office also just across the way
  • + Nice building. + Friendly people. + Historically intreging There is not allot of material to read. There is some but this site is more about admiring the architecture, stained glass and enjoying the atmosphere. Note: did not visit during service.
  • Beautiful historic building with lots to discover. Tourists must visit!!
