(4.5/5 based on 1,200+ reviews on the web)
Get a behind-the-scenes look at how Glenfiddich Distillery produces the Scottish national tipple. Learn about the distillery's history and process through a short film and a guided tour of the mash house and still house. You'll see raw ingredients under fermentation and fired copper stills distilling them into alcohol. Smell the aromas of aging whiskey in the warehouse and finish your tour with tastings of single malts up to 18 years old. You can also opt for tours of greater depth that bring you into more private areas of the distillery and serve you older whiskeys. • An informative and interesting tour finishing off with four lovely whiskeys to try. Hard luck on any drivers but maybe take some little bottles to pour your drams into to try later. The shop has whiskeys, flasks, glasses, scarves, gloves etc. for sale and there is a restaurant on site too.
  • Picturesque distillery. Fantastic tour (we did the solera one) - really knowledgeable guide and detailed hands on tour. Great tasting session at the end. The cafe is also brilliant - quality Scottish fayre and decent prices. Highly polished experience which I would recommend for the novice and expert alike.
  • I really loved this distillery. You can see a different place, sometihng that is a factory, but still kept in a family business dimension. Very interesting tour with a lot of hints about the production of whisky. With the 10£ is a fair price to learn the base secrets of the whisky and an interesting taste session with 4 different products. I warmly suggest to visit it!
  • I really liked the grounds and buildings of this distillery. The tour itself was also very well done. The guides were knowledgeable, and seemingly capable of answering any questions the group threw at them.
  • The "explore" tour was informative, and our guide was helpful and knowledgeable. Our initial group of about 30 was split into three smaller groups for more individual attention (and because one of the subgroups had its tour in French). The on-site café was a decent place to get lunch and coffee (although avoid the gnocchi at ALL costs).
