Become part of the "Nessie" mania at Loch Ness Centre & Exhibition, presenting the natural history of the area and exploring the legend of a mysterious creature that has fascinated the world for decades. Separating truth from fiction, the center uses a combination of media to show visitors what really lives in these deep waters. Find out what has actually been discovered and see the authentic equipment used to navigate and search the immense lake, which contains more fresh water than all the lakes in England and Wales combined. Boat cruises operate from various locations on the shore, giving visitors a chance to spend a day looking for the legendary monster, or simply to enjoy the surrounding scenery. • This place is a bit weird. There is a buzz around it outside with bikers and coaches etc. And a quick note to the lovely flowers in the garden area. Fabulous - I really enjoyed wandering down the path...  more »
  • A good solid scientific look at what the Loch Ness monster may be or may not be. Wonderfully analyzed, a great review of the history of the search for Nessie. I don't like the exit through the gift sh...  more »
  • The tour itself is well done..but loch ness is renowned for the monster...it is why people visit...did you see nessie! And this is where it falls down...it debunks every single sighting...now we know ...  more »

  • It was ok. Kinda a museum about disproving the Loch Ness monster. So if the scientific side of the stories interest you then you may enjoy it. I was hoping to be intrigued with stories and left wondering but this museum kinda insures that you leave knowing the monster is just a myth.
  • Had a great boat trip on the loch. Beautiful scenery and weather was fab. Did use toilets at the visitor centre, possibly the cleanest loo that I have ever seen.
  • Their slogan suggests that the tour of the facility will help tourists decide for themselves whether Nessie is a myth or reality, making it sound intriguing and mysterious. However, most of the actual data they provide seems to try and convince tourists that it's a myth or figment of people's imagination. The only "evidence" they show that may try to convince you of Nessie's existance were recorded first-hand accounts from locals. It is worth going if you are interested in the history of the story of Nessie and different tests and discoveries in Loch Ness.
  • More educational than entertainment. Gives a good history of the search for Nessie. Not much to engage younger children.
  • Very interesting place my son enjoyed it. The cafe is a bit over priced and the pricing wasnt well put together and a bit misleading. Looks like toastie and chips is £5.95 but was in fact plus £3.50 for the chips!
