4.7/5 based on 850+ reviews on the web
Operating since 1874, Isle of Man Bus and Rail tours the Manx countryside. A one-way ride between Douglas and Port Erin on this preserved railway offers an hour of Victorian charm. Aboard the rehabbed carriages, you’ll travel through stations where you can exit the train and explore sights, such as the Nautical Museum, the Ancient Capital Castletown, and Rushen Abbey. Near Port Erin are beaches and the Port Erin Railway Museum. Consider purchasing a Heritage Explorer Ticket so that you can exit and enter the train without purchasing a new ticket at each stop.
