  • My first visit since the cafe has been extended. Much brighter and more cheerful now. Good, local food with plenty of choice: relatively small but tasty smoked trout salad. Good coffee. Very informal ...  more »

  • Good food, big choice and plenty of variety! Super vegetarian friendly and dog friendly as well! Outside tables and wheelchair accessible! Staff nice and polite! Love it! Don't forget to buy plants!!
  • Collected an order from Crocus (garden & house plant online shop). Easy distance and straightforward journey from Reading. Received a voucher during collection for a hot drink in the coffee shop attached (where you can also buy hot food for breakfast & lunch - bacon baps highly recommended!) Toasty warm café/tent, lush little courtyard garden/kitchen garden to potter around, & not a total rip off like some garden centres can be in this area. Good selection of flowers and shrubs, can also order other varieties online to collect in person. Plants seem healthy ... Could happily have spent longer but had company so needed to keep brief. Also looks like there are good walks but as it's very muddy you do need boots or wellies.
  • Beautiful location and outdoor space is very well designed especially for children. Food wise there is a lot of variety and a decent kids menu, depends on your dietary needs. They have soya milk available and vegetarian options on the menu. Vegan breakfast is a bit of a stretch yet, I settled for a veggie sausage, bloomer toast and beans, came to £4.75 which was very reasonable. The lunch menu had a few other vegan options, I've tried the dhal before and it is fantastic. Normally there is gluten free cake available, vegan option is the brownie. Quick detour from the m4 if you're passing!
  • Quaint little place although I did visit for the first time in the beginning of February. There was a temporary cafe in place assuming the usual cafe area was being refurbished. My guess is it will be a nice place to spend a hour or so in the better weather. However, the car park is a disgrace. Full of huge potholes and there's no excuse for that, irrespective of the weather. I'll probably visit again though.
  • Nice small garden centre with lovely cafe area lots of food to choose from and that too much on the menu sat outside which was lovely in this country we don't get much time with that it's a long walk to Dorney Lake from this area
