  • Ignore the dress code everybody else does. Attended the 13th August to enjoy the races and the Mcfly concert afterwards. Checked twice about dress code due to the heat. Was told it had been relaxed...

  • The family day there is great for the kids. There were indoor activities and the fair outside (you'll need deep pockets). Adults pay for entry, kids are free. There's lots of parking across the road and a large open air carpet a 2 min walk down the road. There's food and drink. Lots of outdoor seating plus several races. A good family day out especially when the weather is good
  • Let's start with the first thing you need to find is the carpark for disabled the sign could be a lot better as you have to go through the park and ride, once inside the security checks by very polite/pleasant uniformed guards a short walk to the grandstand public area with plastic tables and chairs dry your own no table umbrellas. The cost of alcohol served by inexperienced staff along with food was extortionate but this probably reflects the cost of the rent charged for the privilege of trading on the racecourse, if you needed to use the bathroom the gent's were very ornate but dirty they may be Victorian but do need modernizing. I hope you enjoy day out.
  • Lots of facilities, free car park was on offer, would have been 5 star, but they charge you for some plastic glasses which I can understand but then the cleaning staff, who I must also add, don't want to be there from the frown on their faces just collect them from the table, and throw them away. They obviously hadn't been educated enough on the cost and benefits of recycling. Apart from that I enjoyed the experience. Didn't take long to get out of car park and missed all the traffic getting home.
  • Absolutely loved it what a wonderful experience, for just a grandstand ticket you can watch the horses at the stables as well as the parade ring. The food court was exceptional as were the bars and other facilities. Prices were fair for a racecourse, £5 85 for a pint of San Miguel, I have paid a lot more at other venues. The most remarkable thing was the cleanliness, cleaners constantly tidied up the outside area and the toilets were spotless. I honestly can't wait to go again.
  • Having never been to the races before, we booked for the McFly concert with the added excitement of the races. We paid £50 per ticket for the county stand, the staff were friendly and the facilities clean, there were lots of tables to sit at too. The county stand is at the finish line. However, had we known that the grandstand had a better view of the races, and that we could have entered the stage area sooner, we would have booked that. Especially as people were able to get tickets for this area for £5. It seems we spent a lot more money for absolutely no benefits. None of this was clear on the website. The food and drinks kiosks do not take cash. Food is reasonably priced but drinks are quite expensive at £3 for a bottle of Pepsi max. However, we did have a lot of fun and we’d definitely return, just wouldn’t bother with county stand tickets. Also the amount of people that were drinking to the point they couldn’t stand was ridiculous, I’m all for having fun but when fully grown men are falling on top of an 8 year old because they’ve had too much to drink, you wonder if maybe the bars should have stopped serving them sooner.
