  • Great place for an interesting walk, you can make it as long or short as your legs can manage. Beautiful interesting rock formation of the Vat too. Just a few steps over the rocks to get inside for a proper adventure. There is a lovely little information centre with great details of how it was formed and some child interactive things too. Toilets there as well, as a picnic area, just by the carpark.
  • Absolutely fantastic place to go to, a beautiful area with great, big rocks surrounds the waterfall which adds a nice touch to it. Unfortunately, when I and my family went the water was so dried up from the sun that it wasn't flowing a single bit! Quite funny to be honest but also means not as wet 👍🏻! Lovely landscapes and mountains around it make it feel like true Scotland. I would recommend going here for a nice sunny Saturday. 11/10!
  • The Burn O' Vat sinkhole is an amazing natural spectacle which is well worth the short walk from the car park. The path leading up to the Vat is bound gravel and should be easy to navigate. The entrance to the Vat is by means of a narrow pass between stones which requires you to walk over some large stones.
  • A large nature reserve with a great variety of habitats including woodlands, loch, meadows, raised bog. Well worth a visit at any time of year as the wildlife on view is constantly changing. Several routes to choose from, and all doable in one visit if you leave plenty of time.
  • Beautiful place with a good variety of trails to walk and things to see. Waterfall was beautiful. Good car park. Toilets on site. Well worth a visit if you are in the area, well worth the drive if you are not!
