Good family park - recently renovated lake with ducks & a good cafe open every day 9-6 in summer. Sandy adventure playground aimed at over 8's but popular with younger crowd too open Tuesday's, Thursday's, Friday's & Saturday's. Good 'standard' playground with swings, roundabouts, slides etc. Can get crowded in good weather. Also football pitch, basket ball & tennis courts & rugby pitch. Lots of paths good for cycling/rollerskates/hover boards etc.good ice creams from cafe!
Nice park with a keep fit zone.. lovely pond and nice stroll. Has plenty of things to do for the kids. With a playground and adventure playground but for certain ages. Over 8 I think
It's a place for all ages to enjoy the well kept gardens, and for children to participate in the many local activities arranged throughout the year. The Sand Park Activity Centre is most valued as an exciting and safe place for youngsters to play in and should be made available all year round, whether or not any supervisors are available. It's a huge asset to the local community!!
Great outdoor space. Plenty to see and do with the kids. Bring your bikes, footballs etc. Enjoy.
One of the nicest parks around, lovely grounds and walks used to be a great museum too!! Big shame dewsbury has become the dumping ground for eastern europe, the town is ruined and you can tell walking around the park when its not very often you hear a yorkshire accent! Also few gangs of asian lads smoking weed etc could probably be scary if your not used to that kind of thing.
