  • A good place to walk your dog and spending some time out having a walk
  • The Caen Hill locks along the Kennet and Avon Canal are just a short walk from Avalon Lodge B&B and the cafe is an ideal stopping off point for a coffee or ice cream. The walk along the tow path should not be missed and the locks are an impressive engineering feat as well as making for a fabulous sight. If you are up for it the walk west takes you towards Foxhangers and then the Barge Inn, a great place to eat. The other direction takes you into the market town of Devizes, which retains much of its charm and is well worth exploring on foot.
  • Nice service, good choice of menu, a little pricey.
  • Have been here on many occasions and it's great for a light snack, cream tea , ice-creams and tea/coffee. However on the last occasion it shut up shop earlier than it's advertised times so missed out on a brew.
  • Friendly cafe, with fast service. Scones were delicious and came with plenty of tea. A life saver on a hot Bank Holiday Monday!
