  • We went to Tropical Birdland in October 2016. It was a success. The birds were many and looked well cared for. It was pouring with rain, but we came prepared and enjoyed ourselves. The staff were grea...  read more »
  • This is the second time we have visited this year - this time I had to bring my folks with me. Staff are nice and the birds are clearly well cared-for - being able to feed them is a brilliant idea. We...  read more »
  • Went for a day visit on a recommendation from a friend who had been and rated high, I wasn't really sure that it would be any good. I was very wrong. Was easy to park on site and it's free. Entry fee ...  read more »
  • Been a few times, love seeing the new additions. Every time I go I see something I missed last time. Of course the best bit is feeding the birds and then have them sit on you at the end. Staff are friendly and knowledgable and happy to answer any questions or help when you get a friend that just won't leave you. Great family day out, kids and adults can both enjoy it. Good park for kids to play on.
  • A brilliant place to bring the kids. You can hold different birds, or just feed them if you prefer. There's a great play park for the younger ones and a cafe selling lovely food.
  • Fantastic day out I can't believe how many birds there were and how hands on it was, brilliant. Can't wait to go again!
  • Amazing place, its tuck away nicely the other side of a village called Desford, but its well worth the find. Birdland is nice and open, with lots of bird, many of which you can intact with and handle - which is rare these days - usually they are locked away. Birdland has a large array of birds, and a amazing Woodland Walk, when you have walked around Birdland you end up near the exit where you get to feed and interact with a wide selection of birds. I found some of the birds were more than happy to hop or fly onto your arm and sit there - if you have zips or zip pulls then the birds will play with these, its worth bearing in mind its easy to get the birds on your arm - its not that easy to get them off again :) The centre is all rescued and abandoned birds, which is such a good idea, it also has the added advantage that many of the birds will interact with humans. I would highly recommend that you take a trip here, I will almost certainly be back again - it is one amazing place.
  • Fantastic place, not only do you get to meet the parrots, they get to meet you, taking seed and sitting on your shoulder. You can see and photograph the birds in close-up, plus have a chat with them. Fascinating place and so much better than Parrot World in Surrey / Hampshire, where they are all caged up.
