  • We did not go on a formal tour. We read up on the subject ahead of time and wandered to the memorial while taking in the murals all over the area. It was a good site to see, but knowing the context is...  more »
  • Our visit to Derry did not conceive without seeing the Bloody Sunday memorial and the many 'murals', frescoes that adorn many walls of the Bogside district. This recent history in Northern Ireland is to know and to go to the scene of this memorial is a very emotional moment all the more moving as the guide who drove us there and commented that our visit was the son of one of the victims of bloody Sunday! I admit that I imagined not someday power go to Derry and see this... it was really an emotional moment...
